Ripple Effect Community Grant applications now open!April 8, 2022
We are committed to going beyond water for strong communities. Each year, we offer grants to community groups, schools and international aid programs under our Ripple Effect program.
We believe that building stronger communities is linked with building value for our customers, building value for our community and making our contribution to a better world. This year, there are four streams of funding available:
- Community grants – Of up to $5,000 are available for not-for-profit, volunteer-based, community organisations for projects that aim to strengthen communities.
- International aid grants – Of up to $4,000 are available for local community organisations undertaking projects to strengthen communities overseas.
- School-based grants – Of up to $1,000 are available for schools or school councils to undertake projects within their school community.
- Schools Water Efficiency Program (SWEP) – One-off funding stream for existing SWEP schools and new schools.
We look forward to receiving applications over the next month, applications close Monday 2nd May.
Discovering Groundwater Competition – World Water DayMarch 30, 2022
Kids, talk to your teacher (and parents) to help support you in researching groundwater across our region. Then get busy showing us what you know!
There are great prizes to be won for students and schools. Prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories:
- Foundation – Year 2: two x $250 Gift Vouchers
- Years 2 – 4: two x $250 Gift Vouchers
- Years 5 – 6: two x $250 Gift Vouchers
- Years 7 – 9: two x $250 Gift Vouchers
- Years 10 – 12: two x $250 Gift Vouchers
- School prizes: All entrants will automatically be entered into a random prize draw for their school to win one of two Bunnings $250 gift vouchers.

Calling businesses & community! Join Wannon Water’s community panelMarch 16, 2022
Wannon Water is seeking expressions of interest from local businesses and community members to be part of a Community Panel.
The valuable input from the panel will be considered alongside technical reviews and broad customer engagement insights received between 2019 and 2021 to help us determine our activities, investments and prices for the 2023-28 Price Submission period.
Each participant will be thanked for their contribution through a $350 gift card on completion of the panel events in May.
How does it work?
The program will be delivered in four parts: three in-person events and one self-led online activity session. Further detail on each part can be found in the panel topics outlined on our webpage.
It is important that participants are available and committed to attending all four parts before registering.
